Dual Fuel (Hybrid Systems) Just like today's hybrid cars we have a hybrid solution for your home with Dual Fuel Technology. These systems provide you the best of both worlds. A heat pump (with electricity) controls all of the home's air conditioning and heating down to a set point of around 35 degrees. Normal heat pumps will then switch to electric back-up heat strips, causing a high consumption of electricity. Dual fuel heat pump systems switch to a high efficiency gas furnace to provide supplemental heat at colder temperatures.
